it's all about the park...well hyde park that is

Yesterday was all about relaxing to us. We completely wore ourselves out in Paris so we needed a dy to get our energy back. We didn't even leave the flat till 12:30 because we slept in sooo late! We headed straight for Hyde Park where we walked around the Serpentine Lake and stopped to have lunch at a cafe. We attempted to eat outside right next to the lake but it was so windy things kept trying to blow away so we ended up inside. We continued our walk after lunch and headed to the Natural History Museum. This place was pretty cool. The building it's housed in is amazing! Again so historical!

After the Natural History Museum we headed towards Kensington Palace. We didn't go in but we did walk around Kensington Gardens which is just beautiful. People still had left flowers on the gate of Kensington Palace for Princess Diana. We sat at a bench in the middle of Hyde Park near the Gardens and just people-watched before finally forcing ourselves to get up.

We then decided to do some shopping on Kensington High Street. The only problem was everthing was beginning to close so we picked out a couple places we wanted to hit later and headed back towards Notting Hill.

Pat had spotted a pub called Shakespeare when we were walking through the neighborhood before so we headed there for dinner. And we finally had fish & chips!!! It was very tasty!!! We sat at the pub for a long time and just watched out of the window and chatted.

Even though we didn't see a ton today we still had a blast just taking it easy. We plan to hit Portobello Market today which is an antique market so that should be fun! Now if we could just stop sleeping in! Ha I guess we're on vacation!
